begeistert die Inhaltsangabe gelesen, den Link angeklickt, das Brötchen wieder aufgesammelt, welches mir vor Schreck ob des pfeffrigen Preises aus der Hand fiel ... :) . Da ist mein Wunsch für Weihnachten 2006, 2007, sowie den dazwischen liegenden Geburtstag ja schon klargefahren. Interessanter Tipp, besten Dank.

Toller Büchertipp vom Fachmann ! Wunder mich immer noch über das "in" im Titel und der Preis ist - wie Marc schon schrieb - happig, aber da es Englisch ist, hälts ja auch länger ;)

also das Buch (eigentlich sind's 2) hat über 800 Seiten und es zahlt sich echt aus...


Diese Bücher haben nur ganz geringe Auflagen - deshalb einfach die Preise (siehe auch "Catfishes" etc.).

Nach dem Buch von Arratia hatte ich schon mit ~150 € gerechnet und war nach dem Gestöhne hier dann sogar auf noch mehr gefasst :)

Und 800 Seiten... da hab ich schon dünnere Büchlein für ähnliches Geld gesehen!

... eigentlich hätte es auch teurer werden sollen - jetzt ist es wirklich überraschend "billig" geworden (war bis vor kurzem noch nicht klar)...
(aber natürlich trotzdem einiges an Geld).

... und (fast) durchgehend in Farbe - da hab ich auch schon Anderes gesehen ;)

klar, ich hab auch schon für wesentlich weniger Buch deutlich mehr Geld ausgegeben. Es ist halt immer dieser "erste Moment", gepaart mit der Erkenntnis "Das musst Du haben!" :)
