IBAMA suspending collection and export of ornamental fish across the Para PDF Print Email
Bethlehem (07/06/2012) - IBAMA blocked on Wednesday (04/07) access for all companies in Pará exporters of ornamental fish to the domestic and international markets. By CONAMA Resolution No. 237/97 and Complementary Law No. 140, the state environmental agency should license this type of development, yet all 43 companies had operating licenses issued by cities such as Belém, Santarém, and Altamira Itaituba. "No company was fined, but who work without regularizing its licensing by the state environmental agency may be fined, the value goes up to $ 10 million," explains Head of Supervision, Paul Maués.
