What is it bis(4-dimethylamino-phenyl)-phenylmethyliumhydroxid in Sera Protazol, please? Is it safe for catfish?

The trivial name for this substance is "malachite green", and it's the active ingredient of about every remedy for Ichthyophthirius and the like.

Safe for catfish.
