Moin Leuts,
ich bin gerade dabei zum besseren Verständnis eine Gattungsbeschreibung aus dem Englischen ins Deutsche zu übersetzen.
Leider ist diese Seite voll von biologischen Fachbegriffen, anderen sich leo.org meist die Zähne ausbeisst.
Gibt es evtl jemanden der nett genug wäre mir diese Zeilen zu übersetzen?

Measurements were taken as straight-line distances among homologous landmarks using needle point electronic calipers to the nearest 0.1 mm. Body depth was measured at the point of maximum depth, whereas caudal peduncle depth (d7-8) and length (d8-9) were derived from the truss measures defined above. Shape variation between putative species and populations was assessed by principal components analysis on the covariance matrix of log transformed distance measures using SYSTAT (version 5.1, Wilkinson, 1990).
Lateral plates were counted on the left side from the posterior cleithral margin to the last full-sized plate at the base of the caudal fin anterior to the slender, posteriorly elongate marginal plate series. The count of the marginal caudal plate series includes the elongate, posteriorly pointed plates in vertical series between the ventral and dorsal procurrent rays on the left side. Counts of plates between the dorsal and adipose fins include the paired plates on the midline between the origins of the last dorsal-fin ray and adipose fin. Counts of post-pterotic plates include the plates between the posteroventral supraoccipital and posterodorsal pterotic margins on the left side.
